WHAT CHANGED? by Maryjacob

The sun had risen and set,

With my mind all set,

Set not on the milk from the land,

But from the strength of my hand,

That strength that made me think,

And of course led me using ink..

But it has changed,

My entire existence has with other sisters engaged,

My long thought now uncaged,

Letting me explore the in humanity that has aged,

Before the young feminist gathering,

I struggled to defend feminism without staggering,

But I've been led to a new light,

The one from the candle that lit bright,

I now see love,

Rooted in the fabrics we held with a heart of dove,

I saw beyond the fight against patriarchy,

For my eyes beemed with the strength above all archy,

And as I left,

I heard even the unsaid words from the left,

And obvious misharm from the right,

It's our right,

Not a proposal,

So every sister I saw got my heart at the point of arousal,

We are together in it,

Like vultures they will fetch us to eat,

So my mentality have changed,

I now see us in the boat unchanged

Regardless of the way we are painted.
