A FIST by Olufunmilayo Habibat Obadofin

My arse warmth felt by the bed,
Mercilessly I wolfed down my bread
Next door is Lucy in her golden cage
Bit by bit she ingests her cake
The thought of the mysterious tomorrow took me away
No patriot to be awake
They all left the town
Leaving the sadist to bear the crown

In their regime, Justice and Freedom Frays
End of hunger, the destitute prays
At dawn, the falconers shall cry I pain
The falcons shall laugh in gain
If only our cry would rise to fame
Leaving the faint-hearted to bear the shame.
